Community Takes Steps Toward Cancer Cures

Great Park Neighborhoods residents were among the thousands of people to lace up their walking shoes and lend their support at City of Hope Orange County’s Second Annual Walk for Hope fundraiser on November 2.
The family-friendly walk took place outside of City of Hope’s cancer center and brand-new connecting hospital, which opens next month as Orange County’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to treating and curing cancer.
All eight neighborhoods within Great Park Neighborhoods formed teams at the family-friendly walk. The 3K event raised more than $600,000 for City of Hope’s life-saving research and cancer care.
Great Park Neighborhoods resident Mark DeSantis, who has received treatment for multiple myeloma at City of Hope Orange County, was among the participants alongside his wife Nina. Watch his inspiring story here:
